Four Eyed & Fabulous

Something you guys may not know about me is I am practically blind, and have been wearing glasses since the 1st grade and contacts since the 5th. My eyes are extremely sensitive and as much as I love contacts, my eyes get super irritated leaving me no choice but to rock my glasses. So if you see me wearing my glasses more than usual it's because I am trying to give my poor eyes a break from my contacts for a little bit.

At least my geek chic glasses work really well with this prepster kind of look, right? 8-)

Seeing Stars

It's kind of hard to see, but these pants have the most adorable little star print all over and are oh-so-cute. It's funny because I found these at Kohl's, which I am usually not a huge fan of- but when I saw these for $15 bucks I had to have them! I have also been loving my cargo jacket I got in high school... pretty much over everything, it just adds that cool casualness to any look!

And lastly, let's talk about my bun- for some reason it came out huge this day! But what can I say..I like big buns and I cannot lie!

#IFBCON Inspiration

I AM GOING TO IFB CON NEXT WEEK!

This will be my first blogger conference and I am beyond myself with excitement! I just had some business cards made and am trying to figure out what to bring with me! I was totally inspired by these looks, and am thinking my outfits will definitely include head- to-toe prints, neon, polka-dots, blazers, and maybe even a little bit of fringe. (I know, I know- can someone say predictable?!) But one thing I do know is my shoes probably won't be too exciting, I refuse to be that girl hobbling around!

Itttt's baccckk! You last saw this dress here, when I mentioned how often I would be wearing it for summer, and sure enough I have been. This time I tried toughening it up with the vest, booties and major arm swag, and I really love this vibe. I have been wanting ankle booties for quite some time now and finally took the plunge (not to mention I already ordered a second pair)! I love how they instantly add that cool and laid back vibe to a more feminine dress!

Who says you can't get fancy for a regular day at work? Thankfully in my line of work I can wear a dress with heels one day, and jeans with Converse the next- and on this particular day I felt like getting snazzy! God I love my job.

And I have to mention my new Kate Spade earrings I received in the mail this same morning- I actually had on a different pair when the mail man delivered these, and they just so happen to go perfectly with my dress, so I didn't hesitate to throw these babies on! I just love the cheery yellow color AND they were only $25.00 on Poshmark....again I LOVE MY JOB.

As much as I love a good peplum or drop waist top, I don't find them to be the most flattering on me, so when I dug up this little gem from my closet that I got a few years back, I was determined to find a way to make it work. And yes I realize it isn't a full on peplum or even close to a drop waist, but I love that it still embodies the style with the adorable ruffle detail on the bottom. Paired with some peachy sequins, simple shoes, and chain link earrings definitely had me smiling...

I'm not sure if it was the recent Brad Paisley concert I went to or what, but I had been hunting for a flannel or plaid-esque shirt lately. When I saw this one on Tobi (while taking full advantage of the 50% off sale) I knew that I wanted to wear it in a not-so-casual way because of the lighter weight, chiffon- type of material. And that's exactly what I did-I fought the urge to throw on my Chuck Taylors, and opted for my fave new nude pumps, sock bun and a red lip.

Mission: Monday outfit accomplished! Here's to a great week!

Flower Power

My closet is full of all different colored and printed jeans, however, I have been searching high and low for the perfect floral pair- and alas- at my latest Target haul the heavens opened up and I scored these babies! I love the brightly colored flowers and the cropped ankle length is perfect for summer with sandals, or fall with booties. I just know these will be in regular rotation from here on out!
