New York City Style

Dress, Booties, & Leather Jacket: Asos // Bag: Poshmark (For only $65, Retails for $300!) // Earrings: Nordstrom Rack // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban // Lipstick: NYX Cosmetics

For those of you who follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (@fashionableeme), you might have seen I was in New York for a quick work trip last week. And when I say quick, it was less than 48 hours-- I've been trying to catch up on sleep for a week now. #yawn

In addition to hosting an amazing Press Event and Posh Party to announce all the exciting happenings at Poshmark (no, really-- did you hear about our app for Apple Watch and Series C funding? MAJOR!) I was able to sneak out for a super fast photoshoot with my long time friend and amazing photographer Bronson Farr. I am obsessed with how these photos came out, and if you are in need of a NYC photographer, definitely hit him up. These photos came out so vibrant and gave me the inspiration to start blogging again. Yay!

I always have such a blast in New York and can't wait to come back again soon. Mad love, NYC!

#HowWeWear: Workout Inspired Style

Dress: Marc Jacobs // Blazer: Oscar by Oscar de la Renta // Shoes: Nike // Sunglasses: Prada via Poshmark // Bag: Forever 21

Another sneaker look...shocking! Today though, I teamed up with my Poshmark babes again for a long overdue style challenge -- and because we are all obsessing over the workout inspired trend going on, we thought this would be a perfect topic to share with you all.

With my look this time I wanted to go for a more dressed up vibe with casual bits throughout. I wore my favorite LBD, thrifted blazer and added on a chambray shirt tied around my waist and finished with none other than my Nike kicks and new Prada sunnies. I love how keeping it all black (very rare for me) made this look chic but super fun!

Check out more from this look below and take a peek at how all my Posh ladies took on the workout inspired style challenge. Read more over on the Poshmark blog, too!

Participated in the style challenge? Want to share which looks are you loving? Tweet to me with the #HowWeWear hashtag!

Faux Real

Jacket: Asos //  Jeans: Forever 21 // Chambray top: Target // Pumps: Halogen via Nordstrom Rack // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban // Clutch: ElleBee206

Do you guys remember this coat?! It was featured here in one of my very first blog posts back in 2012 -- aww memories! It was one of my favorites then, and still is to this day.

I threw it on over this double denim look and it added the perfect amount of sass, faux sho.
Hope you are enjoying your first week of March, friends... I sure am as you can tell in the below photo!

Keep laughing...always!

How to Look Professional

Dress & Vest: Target // Boots: Asos // Tote: Zara // Pearl rings: Asos // Gold infinity ring: Gorjana // Silver nail polish: OPI

I was SO honored to be asked to speak at my high school's career fair last month and before even thinking about my presentation, the first thing that came to mind was "What am I going to wear!?". I knew I wanted to look stylish, with a little hint of professional...because I didn't want to wear my jeans and Converse like I normally do these days. ;-) I also was one of the only speakers in a more creative industry so I knew I wanted to have a little flair and show these young women that you can still have a professional job, but have fun with your style at the same time, and that's exactly what I accomplished with this look.

This dress I picked up as I was cruising through Target for new mascara,  and I naturally stopped by the clothing area (get's me everytime!) which I normally wouldn't go for, but I thought for this occasion it would be great. Fun print, chic, comfortable and can be worn many different ways in the future. Paired with tights, chunky boots and a tuxedo vest -- I was ready to take on the stage!

I had the best time sharing my career path and experience with these bright, young adults and feel so accomplished and rewarded to have had this opportunity.

Galentine's Day Nails with Julep

From top clockwise: Me // Emily // Adiel // Kate

Valentine's Day is fun and all, but Galentine's Day is where it's at! When my dear friend Adiel opened her monthly Julep Maven box, it was full of extra polishes to handout to her gfs-- how cute is that?! (check out her photo on IG here) The ADOREable Hartleigh polish is full of pretty hearts, speckled white glitter and was perfect to team up for a fun nail collab with my Posh ladies!

For my mani I went with a gold and lavender base topped with the Hartleigh to add some contrast, I also added a little "XO" as an accent. I just love how everyone used the polish differently!

Be sure to check out their full nail looks on their blogs and have a very Happy Valentine's (or Galentine's Day weekend!)
