A Year in Review: 2013

To say this was the best year of my life is a total understatement. Travels across the country, career growth, blogging friends, refining my style, and feeling more inspired than ever are just a few of the personal accomplishments that have taken place in 2013. I can't wait to see what the new year has in store for me!

To recap, I wanted to share my top 10 posts that happened here on Fashionablee Me in the past year, including lots of fashion, football, food, and FUN! You might even be a little surprised as to what post secured the number one spot (hint: it's not an outfit post!). I am so excited for yet another year with all of your love and support!

Happy New Year!

Day to Night: Houndstooth

Top: TjMaxx // Boots: Zara (Similar) // Bag: Galian New York // Coat: K-Mart // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban (Similar) // Lipstick: Bare Minerals // Earrings: Nordstrom (Similar)

Hope everyone had an amazing holiday full of laughter, loved ones and great food! :-) Because Hannukah came extremely early this year , I stayed 'home alone' (get it? ha) yesterday and just cleaned the house, made a crockpot meal, and relaxed with the pup- a very merry day indeed!

I wore this outfit a couple weeks back when I needed a simple yet warm outfit for a date out in SF. This top has been a new favorite and worked perfectly paired with the tan boots, gold accessories, and of course a red lip --made for an easy day to night look.

Whether you are still traveling and visiting with family, or back to the work grind, have a wonderful day!

The Leather Jacket

Skirt: Old Navy (Similar)  // Leather Jacket & Heels: Asos // Bag: Alexander Wang Rocco via Poshmark // Necklace: Outrage Fashion // Lipstick: Covergirl

I've gone through my fair share of leather jackets, but somehow I have never owned a good black moto style one. Crazy, right? I ordered a few last year and ended up returning them, making my search continue. I haven't even been shopping very much lately, but while I was doing my regular Asos browsing I came across this one and loved the style (and the affordable price tag!) so I went for it. Now, I have to say this piece is definitely a staple in my wardrobe that I will be wearing non stop-- dressed up with skirts and dresses, or casual with my Chuck's, welcome to the fam!

Added bonus: This jacket is on sale for only $88.00 now-- SUCH a good deal!

Holiday Gift Guide: The Jet Setter

It's the 4th and final installment of my Gift Guide collaboration with some of my favorite ladies: Jen, Adiel, and Mollie--and boy, has it been fun! We rounded up our favorite picks for all the types of friends in our lives making sure you are covered for the holiday gift giving season. There is still time to snag that perfect gift for The Fashionista, Art Geek, Tech Lover and this week- The Jet Setter!

While I did quite the travels this past year (ahem--15+ cities across the country), I have become quite the pro packer and jet setter. I am so excited to share a few of my go-to travel necessities along with the seriously amazing picks from my blogger pals--if you have a friend like me, any one (or two or three) of these picks are a must have!

My picks:

With the need to always be connected, a portable charger is a MUST. Whether you are in the cab to a meeting, or out site seeing, making sure your devices are powered up is always important.

There's nothing worse than arriving to your destination and finding out something in your suitcase has leaked- ick! Go for a functional and fashionable cosmetic case that has plastic compartments for all your beauty supplies. Traveler tip: Wrap your liquids/ lotions in a ziploc baggie first!

While I didn't get to do much international traveling this year (Hello, 2014?) carrying your passport is a case is the way to go so it doesn't get ruined. It doesn't hurt if the case is a minty leather, too...can we say obsessed?

Jennifer's Picks:

Being a frequent flyer means you're constantly on the go. But that doesn't mean you have to compromise your style. This chevron striped train case from Stephanie Johnson keeps things organized while also featuring a stylish print. I have one of these, and not only does it keep everything together, it's durable, too!

Cute and compact, a pair of Tieks is perfect for the woman traveler on the go. These ballet flats come in a variety of prints and colors, and fold compactly so you have more room in your luggage to bring extras. The jet-setting fashionista will appreciate this chic pair of shoes!

If the person on your list is a world traveler, why not buy them a piece of art to remind them of the wonderful memories made on vacation? Or, better yet, buy them a print that represents where they're from as a reminder that there's no place like home! For me, I'd love this one of England since my extended family lives there.

Adiel's Picks:

Looking effortlessly chic on a last minute getaway is easy in this cognac weekender bag!

With all of the essentials covered, this mini kit is a must have for every suitcase.

You loved one who who is always on his or her latest adventure will love keeping track of and showing off where he or she has been on this corkboard map.

Mollie's Picks:

The Magic tote as I like to call it. It's awesome for travel because it's stylish and fits everything inside of it. I once fit 5 pairs of shoes in this bag when I went to NYFW.

Lip balm is everything when you're constantly on the road, airplane air is so dry and this La Mer lip balm is an essential for me.

Zella leggings are the most comfortable leggings in the entire world. They make traveling easy and stylish!

Hope you all have a Happy Holidays! xoxo

Leather Lovin'

Skirt: TJMaxx // Sweater: Forever 21 // Necklace: Julie Vos via Lucky FABB // Boots: Aldo // Bag: Alexander Wang via Poshmark // Lipstick: Revlon

While I love all things leather, I surprisingly don't own too many leather items besides jackets and bags. I had been on the hunt for leather leggings and a skirt, so when I found this skirt at TJMaxx (for $15!) I knew I had to have it. I love the leather trim and flared style- feminine with an edgy twist? Yes, please! Paired with a hint of extra sass from the leopard on the boots and a major statement necklace completed this look perfectly.

Happy Monday!
