Parrots

Shorts: BCBGeneration via Lord & Taylor // Top: Forever 21 // Blazer: Target // Pumps: Asos // Sunglasses: Karen Walker via Poshmark // Earrings: Kate Spade via Poshmark

I've been on a major shorts kick lately. From casual cutoffs to more dressy versions like this flowy printed pair- I just can't get enough! I scored these on major sale when I was on my vacation in New Jersey for about $15 and just love cute little parrot print.

It's a promise that these will be coming back into the rotation at least one more time before summer is officially over....speaking of, is it seriously September in a few days? WHAT.

Into the Darkness

Skirt: Target // Top: Express // Shoes: Charlotte Russe // Sunglasses: Karen Walker via Poshmark // Jacket: Old Navy // Lipstick: Wet n Wild // Necklace: Capwell c/o Style Says

With the weather just starting to show signs of fall, I've been more and more inclined to wear darker colors and make-up, hence this pretty dramatic look. My love of color is quite obvious, so I usually never wear all black, but there is something about it that really makes a statement.

Speaking of statements- how fabulous is this layered Capwell necklace from the lovely people over at Style Says? I'm honored to be one of their Featured Stylists, so please head on over, sign up, and follow and shop some serious style with me

Here's to a great week!

Stripes, Suede & Braids

Shorts: K-mart // Blouse: Goodwill // Shoes: Dolce Vita via Marshall's // Earrings: Target // Bag: Michael Kors via Poshmark // Watch: Michael Kors

Earlier this week I attended the High Tech Meets Haute Design event in the city so I went for a fool proof, but fun, casual look. I kept it simple with my go-to white shorts, favorite thrifted striped blouse, and added some pizazz with the pop of color in my shoes and lipstick...and the milkmaid braids were the icing on the cake.

I promise I'll be getting back to regularly posting but I've been catching up on tons of emails, laundry, and sleep! You know how that goes! ;-)

Jet Setting: Vacation Recap

Long Branch Beach, NJ

Lobster, anyone?

Got to have a coffee date with my girl Jen, of House of Jeffers!

Tuna Nicoise

Happy Birthday to my Zadie!

Family love

Cheers to sunshine by the shore!
Sister love!

Posh Party fun!

After a busy, jam packed, 10 day trip, I am finally home...phew!

This trip was very special to me because I don't get to visit my family in New Jersey very often, so I was extra excited getting to surprise my grandpa by flying in to celebrate his 85th Birthday and spend quality time with all of my family. Every summer growing up I used to take trips to the shore with my mom, aunt, and sister, so it was a real treat that we got to escape for a night to unwind, eat amazing seafood, and relax on the beach like we used to back in the day. From NJ I went right to Texas for our Dallas and Houston Posh Parties which were such a blast and I loved meeting our Texas Poshers!

But you know the saying you need a vacation from your vacation--that is definitely how I am feeling right about now.  Glad to be back to blogging, though! Missed you!

Mirrored and Metallic

Jeans: Poshmark // Tank: Forever 21 // Necklace and Shoes: Asos // Blazer, Clutch & Sunglasses: Target // Lipstick: Covergirl

I definitely jumped on the mirrored sunglasses bandwagon and sorry, but I'm not sorry. They are just so funky, fun, and I love that it's almost impossible for you to see through them...in other words- they are the perfect pair of sunnies to wear for people watching. Am I right?

Needless to say I want another pair in a different color. Obsessed.

On another note, I am gearing up for a mini vacay to New Jersey for my grandpas 85th birthday (amazing!), followed by a work trip to Texas so the next 10 days are going to be quite crazy. Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram to see snippets from my trips!

What's Cookin': Bacon & Egg Cups

Looking for an easy breakfast recipe for this weekend? You're in luck! These bacon egg cups look super fancy, but actually take no time at all!

Here's what you need for about 9 cups
4 whole eggs, 2 egg whites
9 pieces of bacon cut in half
2 tablespoons green onion
2 tablespoons basil
1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Non-Stick spray
Muffin Tin

1. Pre- heat over to 350º and spray muffin tin with non-stick spray.
2.. Crack eggs into bowl and add all herbs and seasonings.
3. Whisk together until fluffy.
4. Using the halves of bacon, line the outside rim of muffin tins- one whole piece per cup.
5. Fill bacon lined cups 3/4 way full with egg mixture.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until eggs are cooked bacon is to desired crispiness. (Tip: If you like extra crispy bacon, add the bacon to the oven before adding the eggs for 5 minutes)
7. Remove from oven and serve immediately.

Bon Appétit!

Citrus

Dress and cuff: Forever 21 // Jacket: Target // Shoes: Steve Madden via TJMaxx // Bag: Vintage

I don't own very many maxi dresses, but I definitely think I should invest in a few more. They are comfortable, chic, and can be worn so many ways for day or night. I love the citrusy color of this one and kept it simple with a denim jacket and some sandals for brunch in the city with my SF blogger friends- easy peezy!

Hope everyone is having a great week! Also--stay tuned for a new recipe tomorrow! Woo!
