Little Black Dress

Every woman should own a little black dress right? Well, it's funny because for the longest time I didn't have just a simple. black. dress and when I finally realized a few months back, I made a conscious effort to add this one to my wardrobe. Now, if there's one thing I can easily say, it's that I don't wear a ton of black (shocker, right?) so when I slipped this baby on I knew it needed to be punched up with this neon necklace, leopard bag, and studded sandals. I really like the simplicity of this look, but this girl always needs some color in her life.

Simple and Summery

I am sure you are all very familiar with this polka dress by now. I knew when I got it I would be wearing it non stop this summer! It is just so light and airy, and looks great with different colors and prints- hence the watercolor floral blouse and pastel yellow bag. Simple and summery, at your service!

Colored Trousers & Polka Dots

As much as I love my mass amounts of printed and colored denim, lately I've been looking for a more classic pair of trousers in a bold, fun color of course. On my most recent toothpaste trip to Target, I aimlessly wandered (uh, huh, yeah right, Amanda) to take a peek at the clothes, and was thrilled when I spotted the colorful trouser rack! They had almost every color and I am thinking I need to go back for more. :-) I love the cropped length and the slouchy style...minus all my wrinkles from sitting at my desk all day- whoops!

If you are in for a giggle you should check out this picture of my co-worker Megan and I. There was absolutely no planning involved and we almost died laughing when we noticed we were practically in the same outfit! Great fashionistas think alike, right? ;-)

My obsession with colorful lace continues on, and I had fun dressing it down for this Friday outfit. Some pinks, purples, bows and my Becky...perfect way to ring in the weekend! I remember when summers used to be all about waking up late, going to the beach and relaxing all day... As much as that sounds amazing from time to time, I am so thankful I have a career in something I love way more than the beach. So for me, dressing in summer revolves a lot about what I wear to work during the week(and of course I save the relaxing for the weekends)- A lot of my M-F days at the office involve a pair of shorts, a fun top, and of course some bright colors. And now I hope you understand why I have a lack of a tan! :-)

I'm baccckkkk!! After a much needed family vacay, I am back to reality! I had such a fantastic time on the East Coast and will be doing a recap later this week, so stay tuned!

I took these pics last week before I left and I based this whole look around my new fruityliscious shoes! Asos had a major shoe sale and let's just say I took FULL advantage...I scored 4 pairs for about $100-woop woop! I don't know why, but when I saw these flats I immediately added them to my cart. They are the perfect mix of quirky and fun, and perfect for the summer time!

Red, White, and Blue

Considering the Fourth of July is tomorrow, I thought I would rock a little red, white and blue action to get in the patriotic spirit...especially since I am heading out of town tomorrow I wanted to share this outfit with you all before I took off! I am so excited to be flying to the east coast (Jersey to be exact) to see my whole family, ~~relax~~ sweat in the humidity, and then we are throwing an engagement party for my sister and fiance over the weekend! Should be good times! I will do my best to blog while gone, but if not- be sure to follow along via Instagram!

As promised I wanted to share a few of the pictures from our Poshmark Chicago trip last week! Although we were only there for less than 48 hours, it is safe to say we are in love with Chicago and the amazing ladies we met during the Posh Party! The Chicago blogger's are so sweet and stylish and it was a pleasure getting to know everyone that came to the party at J Bar! We hope to come back to Chicago again soon!
