If you follow me on any social media platforms, you will recognize this outfit from yesterdays New York Times feature, which was so exciting for me being a new blogger and all...so YAY to that!

For this outfit, I tried my hand at a menswear inspired look because it isn't really my style, but I think I will try it more often because I love how this turned out! I call this my "grandpa" sweater, because I actually got it at Goodwill and I just imagine a grandpa reading his newspaper, drinking coffee wearing it- ha! But I love how it worked with my houndstooth print shorts and new loafers!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends- I sure did! Friday night I went into San Francisco to meet with my friend for drinks and tapas which were amazingggg- if you haven't been to Esperpento in the Mission, I highly recommend it! We ordered some wine and a few plates to share and everything was so flavorful- needless to say we were happy girls! And the rest of the weekend was pretty mellow, filled with a tiny bit of shopping, getting organized, and doing a mountain of laundry.

These pics were taken last week in front of our favorite blue wall across the street from work- isn't the color amazing? Carlina, Maria and myself are so lucky to have a great neighborhood with so many unique backdrops for our photos, but for some reason this blue wall always prevails.

Anyhow, just a simple outfit of leggings, a leopard chiffon dress, some Poshmark accessories, and my fave denim shearling jacket for a nice sunny day. :-) Here's to a great week!

One thing I was asked a bunch yesterday was whether or not my glasses were real- and to set the record straight- they are! I usually stay away from such large frames because I am practically legally blind (UGH), which causes these to look extra thick and bottle cap-ish. But I knew I wanted something uber obnoxious and geeky so I went for it, and happen to be in love with them- thickness and all. :-)

I kept the outfit fairly simple with skinny jeans, a fun printed top, blazer and bold necklace to compliment the geek-chic factor with my main accessory of my glasses.

After the ::tear:: loss of the Niners on Sunday, it didn't make my Monday morning very cheery for me, however I made up for my sadness by piling on accessories to this otherwise casual outfit. Yup, my fave fringed bag, jewelry of chains, friendship bracelets, a turquoise globe ring and even a sparkly little pin to adorn my vest somehow turned my frown upside down!
