Short and Sweet

Another day, another pair of printed shorts. I told you guys I had a problem! I also think I threw on as much color as possible because I am in denial that summer is coming to an end...not that I will stop wearing color during fall, just probably a tiny bit less (keyword: tiny).

It's been quite the crazy week so keeping this short and sweet!

Parrots

I've been on a major shorts kick lately. From casual cutoffs to more dressy versions like this flowy printed pair- I just can't get enough! I scored these on major sale when I was on my vacation in New Jersey for about $15 and just love cute little parrot print.

It's a promise that these will be coming back into the rotation at least one more time before summer is officially over....speaking of, is it seriously September in a few days? WHAT.

Preppy Pleats

If there is one thing you have probably noticed about my style, is that I am usually the farthest thing from preppy. But instead of throwing on a neon shirt with this skirt (which is what I really wanted to do) I thought to stay with the same color palette and wore this striped green top that I found in the back of my drawers (don't you love finding things you barely wear?). And I finished the look with ballet flats, a neutral blazer and my new Rebecca Minkoff bag that I got last month at the sample sale that hasn't been getting nearly as much love as it should!

The Perfect Blazer

These red skinnies were the first pair of colored denim I ever bought, and they really don't get enough wearing since there is a lot more competition going on in my closet! I thought what better way to revive them, then to wear my new colorful floral tank and white blazer with them! But let me back up for one second, because I have been on the hunt for the perfect white blazer for ~~forever~~ quite some time, and while in New York, I was elated to find this one at Topshop...and I must say I have to stop myself from wearing it everyday- that's how ~~obsessed~~ in love I am!

I'm so excited to rock this blazer with some shorts and neon heels, over sweet sundresses, and of course more colored skinnies!

Geek Chic

One thing I was asked a bunch yesterday was whether or not my glasses were real- and to set the record straight- they are! I usually stay away from such large frames because I am practically legally blind (UGH), which causes these to look extra thick and bottle cap-ish. But I knew I wanted something uber obnoxious and geeky so I went for it, and happen to be in love with them- thickness and all. :-)

I kept the outfit fairly simple with skinny jeans, a fun printed top, blazer and bold necklace to compliment the geek-chic factor with my main accessory of my glasses.
