For the winter I am totally crushing on velvet. It brings a rich, luxurious vibe to a look and is perfect for adding texture to an otherwise simple outfit like this.  Paired with my new cap-toe heels that I have been on the hunt for for-ev-er, leopard clutch and a few sparkling accessories- I am definitely feeling winter-chic. Next on my list: velvet blazer.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! Since I had no plans to crash anyone's Christmas this year, I spent some quality time with Tula.... I also baked, cleaned, did laundry, went on long walks--pretty darn relaxing actually! But I think everyone is still in holiday mode getting ready for NYE, so I thought I would share a simple, yet festive look with you all. I love anything with some sparkle (don't we all?!), so when I saw this glistening beauty at K-mart while doing some holiday shopping, I had to scoop it up--and at only $10--I got it in a basic black too! Paired with nude pumps, a studded bag and a red lip- perfect for happy hour with a friend! 

I guess it's safe to start my birthday countdown considering it is on SATURDAY! 3 days and counting...

It didn't dawn on me until I was sifting through my outfit pictures that I have been wearing a lot of shorts lately. And like I said in my last post, the bare legs definitely came to an end- cue my bright red tights. Bright and patterned tights are definitely going to be a staple for me all winter long, worn with dresses or shorts and cozy sweaters, they add a fun and quirky vibe which I am all about!

I hope everyone is having a great week! My mom just came into town to help with my move, so I can't wait to spend a little time with her. Aren't moms just the best!?

I never really got into the whole maxi-dress thing, but I think that will be changing since I found this dress at Target. I instantly fell in love with the color (shocking right?!), and I felt like I was wearing pajamas all day long! Color and comfort is a win win in my book! I also scored these Sofia Vergara wedges art K-mart and know they will be in regular rotation for the summer! 

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends- I must confess that I was a naughty girl and hit up the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale...and let's just say I scored one too many goodies!

Happy Friiiiiiiday everyone! I actually wore this outfit last Friday and didn't get to share, so here it is! One thing about me is that I LOVE butterflies (I even have a tattoo of one) so when I find anything in a butterfly print I tend to purchase it-hence this cute tank from Forever 21 I got a few years back! I also have been on the hunt for new sandals and found this awesome cognac lace-up pair at K-mart! I swear I have been finding some great things there lately!

But have to make this short and sweet because I am heading to LA tonight for a weekend of wedding dress shopping for my sister! Eep! So excited! :-) Hope you all enjoy your weekends!
